  • NRW Sportstiftung 2022/23

    Attention top-level athletes: The application period for the University's scholarship of the Sportstiftung NRW  for the grant period 2022/2023 starts on Monday, 20th June, and ends on Thursday, 14th July 2022 (term of exclusion). The only way to apply is to send a written application as a pdf document via email to the top- level sports support team of the University of Münster.

    Admission:
    You may apply for the scholarship if you...

    • are an enrolled student at the University of Münster or if you plan to register as a student at the WWU starting next winter term (01.10.22; relevant for first-year students and changers of university).
    • study within the standard period of study (the modification of the standard period due to the Covid- pandemic for SS 20, WS 20/21, SS 21 applies).
    • are a matriculated federal state's squad athlete (e.g. NK2, NK1, EK) of an Olympic, Paralympic oder Deaflympic sport.

    You may not apply for the scholarship if you...

    • have exceeded the standard period of study (the modification of the standard period due to the Covid- pandemic for SS 20, WS 21/22, SS 21 applies).
    • are a doctorate student.
    • are an athlete that is funded by the Deutsche Sporthilfe by the scholarship of the Deutsche Bank (usually the case for PK and OK athletes).

    Allocation:
    The allocation of  grants is performance- and talent- related, i. e. your academic as well as athletic accomplishments you achieved so far are crucial for the allocation process.

    By being socially engaged and/ or due to special personal/ family- related circumstances one can earn additional credits that may enhance your chances. The accreditation of such engagement or special circumstances is only possible with sufficient documentation.

    Meaningful applications (squad certificate, transcript of records, proof of social commitment/ compassionate grounds, and cover letter) have to be handed in in time via email (bhalbers@uni-muenster.de). A selection commitee (representative of the top-level sports support, direction of HSP etc.) choose eligible candidates and recommend these athletes to the Sportstiftung NRW. Anything else (bank account details, contact etc.) will be handeled by the Sportstiftung NRW.

  • Scholarship Pro Talent 2021/22

    The University of Münster offers university grants for top level athletes every year. The amount of the grant is 300 Euro per month.

    Our grant holder were

    Emma Brüssau: riding military (NK 1) and studies psychology.

    Anais Neumann: riding military (NK 1) and studies psychology.

    Gianna Regenbrecht: Para- Dressage, federal state's squad (NK1) and studies medicine.

    Johanna Zantop: riding military (NK 2) and studies communication science.

    The University of Münster offers university grants for top level athletes every year. The amount of the grant is 300 Euro per month.

    Our grant holder were:

    Fabian Dammermann: track and field (400m), federal state's squad DLV and studies sports and politics.

    Anais Neumann: riding military (NK 1) and studies psychology.

    Gianna Regenbrecht: Para- Dressage, federal state's squad (NK1) and studies medicine.

    Johanna Zantop: riding military (NK 2) and studies communication science.
