Support

One of our major goals is to support studying top-level athletes. On the following web pages you can find programs from the University, from the Commissioner for top-level sports of the University, the University sports, the Olympic bases , the NRW Sportstiftung and other partners.

• Funding is available to all students pursuing a bachelor’s, master’s, (state) examination, or Magister Theologiae degree.
• Doctoral students who are employed by the University of Münster are not eligible for this funding. 

However, all supplementary services can only be taken by Squad athletes from olympic, paralympic and deaflympic sports, which are highlighted.

The support for top-level athletes is not one-sided: the athletes also have to show their performance by:
•    Planning their studies carefully and preparing examinations
•    Taking part in University championships and other competitions for their home university
•    Informing the head of the University and other institutions about their success in sports  on a regular basis
•    Accepting representative tasks for their Universities
•    Introducing experience and knowledge from top-level sports in University events
•    consulting future top-level athletes after their studies
