Election Review Committee

The Election Review Committee is responsible for reviewing electoral results and thereby verifying the legitimacy and validity of an election. Should a party wish to contest election results, they must submit and substantiate their challenge to the committee’s chairperson. The Senate decides on whether to sustain or overrule the objection, based on the recommendation of the Election Review Committee.

The Election Review Committee only convenes if the election results of a Senate and/or faculty board election are contested in accordance with §27 of the Election Regulations of the University Senate and/or Faculty Boards, and merits investigation by the committee.
