I work as…

…clinical neuropsychologist in the acute care hospital „Christliches Klinikum Unna West“.

Here, I deal with…

...with various neurodegenerative and psychiatric diseases, their diagnosis and therapy, especially with dementia, Parkinson's disease and epilepsy.

In a current project, for example, we work on…

...improving the differential diagnosis of dementia. In addition, we are currently developing an acute concept for the treatment of phobic fall processing in geriatrics.

I still benefit from my time as student and tutor in Münster…

...because I gained a balanced insight into clinical disorders, neurophysiological principles, assessment, and test construction.

The Master PASD is a perfect basis for the work in my area…

...because I consider it indispensable to have a good statistical and test theoretical training for neuropsychological assessment. My observation in everyday clinical practice shows that psychologists are often the professional group that keeps an eye on the "big picture" for patients, both in terms of personal conflicts, differential diagnostic issues, or simply provide the opportunity of having a person to talk to.

For me, the study program in Münster…

...enables both practical and research-oriented professional perspectives. In a previous position, I worked at the University Hospital Münster in a research project in which an algorithm for the early detection of therapy-resistant depression was developed. Here, especially knowledge in precise scientific work, organization, and coordination of research and, of course, statistics were an advantage!
