Regular application procedure for MSc programmes
Application for admission to one of our master’s programmes is done via the online application portal of the University of Münster. Please note the application deadlines. Depending on the master's programme, specific admission and selection criteria may apply.
- Admission regulations for the MSc Psychology programme
- Admission regulations for the MSc Psychology programme with specialisation in clinical psychology and psychotherapy
When applying online, be sure to upload proof that you meet the requirements for licensure in psychotherapy. The following documents can be used here:
- Proof of requirements
- Appendix 1: Module contents
- Admission regulations for the interdisciplinary MSc programme in cognitive neuroscience
Please note that we cannot perform a preliminary review of your application documents in advance of the regular application process. Therefore, we kindly ask you to refrain from making such inquiries.
The paperless application procedure was introduced for all applicants from Germany and the EU in the winter semester 2012/13. This group of applicants need no longer send application materials by post. All certificates and supporting documents must be uploaded via the application portal. Applicants from non-EU countries still have to send in their documents via postal delivery.
Please note that during the current selection process, we cannot provide information on your chances of obtaining a study place. This is due to the fact that the number of available study places constantly changes as some applicants refuse admission or fail to enrol. However, if you have applied for admission to the MSc Psychology programme in Münster, you can receive information regarding your current application status (“admission”, “move-up or provisional rejection”, “rejection”).
