Postdoctoral researchers

The Graduate Centre supports and advises postdocs (postdoctorates und habilitants) in all interdisciplinary issues. These include general questions on research affairs at the University of Münster, dealing with conflicts at the workplace, career planning and career options inside and outside the university as well as first information about scholarship and funding programs for postdocs (Contact: postdocs@uni-muenster.de).

In addition, the Graduate Centre offers qualification measures for a scientific career with workshops and seminars on interdisciplinary competences and transferable skills. The consultations and workshops are open to all postdocs at the University of Münster, are free of charge and are offered in German and in English.

Through the research funding support (SAFIR), you get advice on how to apply for third party funding projects. The Centre for Teaching in Higher Education (ZHL) offers support for further developement of your teaching competencies.

Postdoc Network Münster (PNM)

Since early 2020 a growing number of postdocs in cooperation with the Postdoc Programm Coordinator at the Graduate Centre have been working together to establish a network of all postdocs of the University of Münster. The aim of the Postdoc Network Münster (PNM) is to provide a platform for them to connect, learn from one another and feel supported. Whether you are brand-new in Münster or have lived here for years, the network is open to you.

The PNM welcomes you to join already established activities (e.g. the Social Hour) as well as to contribute new ideas.
