Parents Network

Department 10 offers a parents network for students with children. This is organized through a Learnweb page. There relevant information and dates of network meeting and other events are announced.

Support offers

Students with children are supported in various ways at Department 10.

  • They have priority when choosing exercise groups and seminars. Please contact the teachers or the Equal Opportunities Commission as soon as possible.
  • Childcare every Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the basement at GIMB, Johann-Krane-Weg 39, 48149 Münster.
  • On request, they will receive suitable material for follow-up work on missed courses.
  • On request the deadline for Bachelor's or master theses can be extended.
  • They may apply for childcare for their children during exams.
  • Students in pregnancy and maternity leave are entitled to individual agreements regarding examinations. The contact person for female students on maternity leave will be happy to help.

Parent-Child-Rooms

The department maintains two Parent-Child-Rooms which are equipped with a play corner, changing table, washbasin, fridge, sofa and computer workstation. They are available during daytime. The rooms are located

  • on the ground floor of Einsteinstr. 62 opposite the student council.
    You can find a key at the student council or the dean's office.
  • in the basement of Johann-Krane-Weg 39.
    You can find a key at any of the secretaries' offices in the building.
Students with children can also get their own key at gleich10@uni-muenster.de.
