Text modules on equal opportunity (German/English)

The gender-related text modules provide a more condensed and – with regard to how far the measures have been implemented – more recent description of the University’s gender concept, and can thereby serve as a basis for the faculties for completing funding applications.

Equal opportunity measures in Collaborative Research Centres (SFBs)

The German Research Foundation (DFG) promotes gender equality in Collaborative Research Centres (Sonderforschungsbereiche) by financing the following measures:

  1. Additional funding for gender-equality measures
  2. Funding for project leaders to compensate absences or reduced hours as a result of familial responsibilities
  3. Funding for project staff to compensate absences or reduced hours as a result of parental leave or maternity protection
  4. Initial financing for project leadership positions

The University of Münster has established a central coordination office. Thus, coordinated programmes which apply to the DFG for equal opportunity funds will benefit from a tailored programme which is organised across faculties. The coordination office continually analyses the needs of these coordinated programmes and organises corresponding information and further education measures to complement those of the individual projects.
