The theory of optimal transport has developed into a powerful tool for the analysis and geome-try of PDEs and singular spaces. In this talk, I show how it can be used to model some probabil-istic/applied problems. Often these models lead to interesting and rich mathematical ques-tions which I showcase by the example of the matching problem.
