Conjecturally the K-theory of Hecke algebra H(G) of p-adic groups G should be expressable in terms of induction maps for compact subgroups of G. A strategy to proof this conjecture is to proof a version of the Farrell-Jones Conjecture for Hecke algebras as an intermediate step. However already the formulation of a Farrell-Jones Conjecture for Hecke algebras is non-trivial.
