In this talk we will consider mean curvature flow in high codimension with surgery under a quadratic curvature pinching condition. We will show that the Huisken-Sinestrari surgery procedure extends to this situation, that is we can flow through singularities mean curvature flow by suitably modifying the mean curvature flow by surgeries. As a result we can show that high codimension submanifolds with this pinching condition are topologically a connected sums of tori ($S^{n-1}\times S^1$ or a sphere $S^n$.
