In the talk we consider unit groups of local central simple algebras or in other words general linear groups with coeffitients in a local division algebra. Here we use the affine embeddings of Bruhat-Tits buildings of centraliser subgroups in order to recover the embedding data from the work of Broussous and Grabitz. Embedding data play an important role in the construction of simple types.
