String topology amounts for the study and understanding of the algebraic properties that the homology of the free loop space of a manifold has. The subject was started by Chas and Sullivan, a homotopical version was further developed by Cohen and Jones, and several other works have followed. In the present talk I will show how the string topology on manifolds can be generalized to the case of orbifolds, I will explain what its homotopical version and furthermore I will explain its relation with Hochschild Cohomology of group dg-rings. I will finalize by showing how to obtain the string topology ring of a manifold with finite fundamental group as the Hochschild cohomology of a specific dg-ring.
