In the footsteps of King Solomon: spectacular finds at the Amman

National Geographic films at the excavation site of Prof. Dr. Katharina Schmidt

A National Geographic camera crew is there live when Prof. Dr. Katharina Schmidt's excavation team makes an extraordinary discovery at the Amman Citadel: two huge stone female heads, hidden under layers dating back thousands of years. Could they be evidence of an Iron Age palace at this important site?
In the documentary ‘The Lost Treasures of the Bible – The Mystery of King Solomon’, archaeologists and historians combine international research findings and new excavation data. Step by step, they reconstruct the era in which King Solomon ruled, a time when diplomacy, war, religion and trade were closely intertwined.
The film also offers a fascinating insight into current archaeological research methods.
