AI and Machine Learning are rapidly expanding in research and teaching at the University of Münster, across all disciplines. The AI Map is designed to help maintain an overview of the local AI landscape and quickly navigate to research groups, institutions, services and contact persons. In addition, it aims to support researchers at the University of Münster by helping them to pinpoint synergies and networks on campus, while making their own activities visible.

The AI Map is an open system and will be kept up to date. We are currently redesigning the AI Map to provide a clearer, interactive overview of the wide range of AI research activities at the University of Münster. In this process, we are coordinating closely with other university institutions and the responsible administrative department to integrate the AI Map into the University’s broader AI presence. We are aiming to release the new version at the start of the 2027 summer semester. Further information will follow.
