The Cluster “Individualisation” practices a fundamentally new interdisciplinary approach to understand individualisation through a strong coopertation of evolutionary biology, cognitive neuroscience, modelling, philosophy, psychology, psychiatry, sociology, and sports science. Applying discipline-specific theories and methods, research projects of this Cluster are devoted to a science of individualisation that cuts across disciplinary borders and considers individual differences across analytic layers.

The Institute of Sport and Exercise Sciences in in the Faculty of Psychology and Sport Sciences at the University  of Münster, Germany, is seeking to fill the position of a

 

Postdoctoral Research Associate
Wissenschaftliche*r Mitarbeiter*in
(salary level TV-L E 13)

 

at the earliest possible date. We are offering a fixed-term full-time position for 18 months. Full-time employees are required to teach 4 hours per week during the semester.

 

Your tasks:

  • contributing to the writing of an excellence cluster proposal on individualisation (SOFI – Science of Individualisation) across disciplinary borders in close collaboration with the current speaker in Münster and additional partners from the above-mentioned disciplines at the Universities of Münster and Bielefeld
  • providing administrative support for all areas associated with completing the final proposal
  • organising interdisciplinary events in the context of individualisation and SOFI

 

Our expectations:

  • A graduate degree (PhD) in one of the scientific fields involved in the cluster, preferably in the social sciences (in the broader sense), is required.
  • Experience in writing grant proposals for national and/or international funding agencies is expected.
  • Experience with large and interdisciplinary research consortia would be advantageous.
  • Experience as a reviewer for national or international research foundations is desirable.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English is required.
  • German language skills would be advantageous but are not a requirement.
  • A strong interest in interdisciplinary research would be welcomed.
  • Desired soft skills: team-orientation, good communication skills, excellent organisational skills
