ICA-Konferenz in London: 18 IfK-Vorträge
(18.06.2013) Vom 17. bis 21. Juni findet die 63. Jahrestagung der International Communication Association (ICA) zum Thema „Challenging Communication Research“ in London statt, an der auch viele IfK-WissenschaftlerInnen mit eigenen Vorträgen teilnehmen.
Im Vorfeld der fünftägigen Hauptkonferenz wurden insgesamt 29 Preconferences abgehalten. Im Anschluss folgen vier weitere Postconferences, die von den einzelnen Arbeitsbereichen und Gruppen der ICA organisiert werden. Zum diesjährigen Schwerpunktthema wurden insgesamt 18 Beiträge von MitarbeiterInnen des Instituts für Kommunikationswissenschaft aus Münster zugelassen:

Die 1950 gegründete International Communication Association gehört zu den renommiertesten Fachverbänden für den wissenschaftlichen Austausch im Bereich Medien- und Kommunikationsforschung und zählt inzwischen über 4.300 Mitglieder aus 76 Ländern. Seit 2003 ist die ICA – mit Hauptsitz in Washington D.C. – als Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) mit den United Nations (UN) assoziiert.
