Am 28. Juni 2023 findet das Institutskolloquium statt. Es beginnt um 14 c.t. im Konferenzraum. Zu Gast ist Prof. Dr. Mustafa Şen. Er spricht über "The transformation of the religious field under the AKP rule". »It is widely discussed how the AKP has transformed state-religion relations in Turkey. To contribute to this discussion, I will focus on the enlargement of the scope and scale of the state religious institutions. The state religious institutions include the Directorate of Religious Affair (Diyanet), official Quran Courses, Imam-Hatip Schools, compulsory religious courses and Divinity Faculties. I will present an analysis of the political economy of the state religious institutions and explore legal and institutional changes concerning the state religious institutions. My main is to show how these institutions have become part and parcel of AKP’s party politics and one of the main components of its biopolitics.« (Autoren-Abstract)
