The workshop will cover the following topics: Day 1 (May 9th 09:30h – 12:30h): Introduction The purpose of papers Original research papers From data to paper – creating an outline Assignment 1 – make an outline of your own (fictitious) paper – in class Paper structure Writing an introduction Writing conclusions Writing an abstract and Assignment 2 – write an introduction – homework Assignment 3 – write an abstract – homework Day 2 (May 12th 13:00h – 16:00h): Discussion of Assignments Writing style Preparing a manuscript for submission Scientific conduct, plagiarism 4. Review paper writing 5. Proposal writing
