  • PALMA II

    PALMA II ("Paralleles Linux-System für Münsteraner Anwender") ist ein Computercluster mit über 18.000 Prozessorkernen, deren Zusammenwirken die Lösung hochkomplexer Aufgaben aus Wissenschaft und Forschung ermöglicht. Im Testbetrieb konnte im Linpack Benchmark eine Gesamtleistung von 800 TFlops ermittelt werden, womit PALMA II 2018 unter die Top500 der leistungsfähigsten Computersysteme weltweit fiel.
