Getting started at the University of Münster with an intensive German language week for international students on English-taught degree programmes

The UniStart German Language for beginners course is designed for international students who will start an English-language degree programme at the University of Münster and have little or no knowledge of German (A1.1)

The course takes place as a face-to-face course.

When: 23rd September to 02nd October 2025

Topics of the course

  • classes of basic knowledge of German, level A1
  • pronunciation exercises/ learning counselling
  • intercultural basics for studying in Germany
  • getting to know the university and interesting spots in Münster
     

Requirements for participation

International students who have been admitted to a German-language degree programme at the University of Münster for the upcoming Winter Semester are eligible to participate.

  • International students on a standard degree programme who began their studies in the previous Summer Semester are eligible to participate.

  • Erasmus students are not eligible to partcipate.

Participation is free of charge.

Course content

In addition to your language course, you will also have the opportunity to visit important facilities at the University of Münster in the afternoons, make contact with other first-year students and talk to students in higher semesters about individual departments and studying in Münster.
