Getting started at the University of Münster with an intensive German language week for international students on English-taught degree programmes

The UniStart German Language for beginners course is designed for international students who will start an English-language degree programme at the University of Münster and have little or no knowledge of German (A1.1)

The course takes place as a face-to-face course.

When: 22nd September to 02nd October 2026

Topics of the course

  • classes of basic knowledge of German, level A1
  • pronunciation exercises
  • learning counselling
  • intercultural basics for studying in Germany
  • getting to know the university and interesting spots in Münster
     

Requirements for participation

International students who have been admitted to a German-language degree programme at the University of Münster for the upcoming Winter Semester are eligible to participate.

  • International students on a standard degree programme who began their studies in the previous Summer Semester are eligible to participate.

  • Erasmus students are not eligible to partcipate.

Participation is free of charge.

I really enjoyed the Uni-Start Programme! It was a great way to get to know the university and meet new people. I was super lucky to be in such a diverse group of students.
