Reasons for studying Sports, Exercise and Human Performance
How do people's physical activity behaviors differ? Why are some sports teams better than others? What role does physiology play in top athletes? I asked myself questions like these from time to time and found answers - and discovered new questions - within the English-language Bachelor's program "Human Movement in Sports and Exercise". In addition, I developed a great interest in scientific work and independent research. Therefore, I decided to join the master's program "Sports, Exercise and Human Performance". I learn a lot about sports psychology, biomechanics and sports biology and also benefit from extensive methodological training. For example, during a sports psychology study, I learned how to collect data with the help of virtual reality goggles, how to evaluate them correctly, and how to communicate them scientifically. The degree program is a successful combination of theory and practice with the opportunity to specialize through (international) internships and research projects. I'm excited that we learn the right approach to research and answer new questions in the future. In addition, the international orientation of the study program enables a versatile international and subject-specific exchange - this results in a unique atmosphere.
