Decision-Making in the Realm of Finance – Interdisciplinary Conversations
Workshop am SFB 1150 „Kulturen des Entscheidens“
Mit Entscheidensprozessen im Finanzwesen beschäftigt sich ein Workshop am 21. und 22. Juni aus interdisziplinärer Perspektive. Organisiert wird der Workshop „Decision-Making in the Realm of Finance – Interdisciplinary Conversations“ von Helene Basu (Teilprojekt A06 Soziale Praktiken und mediale Narrative matrimonialen Entscheidens in Indien) und André Krischer (Teilprojekte B05 Politisches Entscheiden über Sicherheit im britischen Parlamentarismus (16.-19. Jahrhundert) und C04 Entscheiden im frühmodernen Gerichtsverfahren: Ein deutsch-englischer Vergleich, 16.-19. Jahrhundert) gemeinsam mit Uwe Schimank (Bremen).
Nach dem Zusammenbruch der wirtschaftlichen Systeme der ehemaligen Ostblockstaaten und einem wachsenden Einfluss des globalen Kapitalismus ist der Begriff „Finanzialisierung“ in das Blickfeld von Ökonomen, Soziologen, aber auch Historikern, Anthropologen und anderen Disziplinen gerückt. Viele Bereiche menschlichen Zusammenlebens folgen mittlerweile der Logik der Finanzen, und dies wird häufig als Selbstverständlichkeit angesehen. Der Workshop untersucht, wie individuelle und institutionelle Faktoren zu Entscheidensprozessen in der Finanzwelt beitragen und welche Rolle dabei verschiedene soziale und kulturelle Konstruktionen etwa von gesellschaftlichen Werten spielen.
