Advanced field course 2014: Magnetotelluric and Gravity survey in the Vaucluse, SE France

Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Michael Becken, Dr. Jörg Schmalzl
Participants: The MSc students
Partner: Laboratoire Souterrain a bas bruit (LSBB, www.lsbb.eu)

Summary:

Magnetotelluric (MT) and gravity measurements were carried out to image the distribution of massive triassic salt formations known to exist in the Provence region, SE France. Within two weeks of measurements in June 2014, a total of 28 MT stations and more than 100 gravity stations were recorded along a coincident 50 km profile across the Vaucluse plateau.
We greatly appreciated the support by the LSBB staff.
