Nonlinear Microscopy

In my studies, I research coherent Raman scattering. These are processes that are used in microscopy to identify molecules within a sample. In particular, I am working on modifying the excitation beams and also the detection of the resulting signal in order to generate low-noise and background-free microscopy images. I enjoy working on this topic because Raman microscopy has a large and rapidly developing field of application.
