Arrival by public transport

From Münster main station
There are several bus lines from the main station to the stop “Coesfelder Kreuz”. Possible lines are 1, 2, 5, 11, 12, 22, 33 (34 back), R64 (R63 back), 564 and at night N80.
The stop “Coesfelder Kreuz” is located at the “Mensa am Ring”. The journey time is 15 - 20 minutes depending on the line. From there, the institute can be reached by feet within a few minutes.
At Stadtwerke Münster or VRR you can have the bus connections displayed.

From the Airport Münster Osnabrück
The bus lines S50, D50 or R51 run to Münster main station.

Arrival by car

From the north
Take the A1 motorway to the highway crossroad “Münster Nord” and then continue in the direction of Münster. Continue straight ahead onto the B54 (Steinfurter Straße). After the sign for Münster turn right at the third traffic light, direction Coesfeld, onto the Orleans-Ring. After the second set of traffic lights, you will be at the Coesfelder Kreuz. On the Einsteinstr. (Direction Coesfeld), the Corrensstr. (Direction "Natural Sciences Institutes") and Wilhelm-Klemm-Str. You can reach the parking garage on Domagkstrasse near the Mensa am Ring, where you can park for free. From there you can reach the institute on foot within a few minutes.

From the south
Take the A43 motorway towards Münster-Süd. Then continue in the direction of Münster/B51. Then go straight on the B219 (Weseler Straße) in the direction Gronau/Ibbenbüren and turn left at the crossroads with two left turn lanes on the Kolde-Ring towards Gronau/Ibbenbüren. After the second set of traffic lights, the Kolde-Ring becomes the Cardinal-von-Galen-Ring. The Aasee is crossed and after the fifth traffic light you are at the Coesfelder Kreuz. On the Einsteinstr. (Direction Coesfeld), the Corrensstr. (Direction "Natural Sciences Institutes") and Wilhelm-Klemm-Str. You can reach the parking garage on Domagkstrasse near the Mensa am Ring, where you can park for free. From there you can reach the institute on foot within a few minutes.

Should you need to use the institute's parking space, you will need a visitor's license, which you will receive in the office of the institute.
