Sustainable mobility in Münster - ZIN employees organise education day for young people in voluntary services
At the invitation of the Bennohaus community centre in Münster's “Ostviertel”, Berenike Feldhoff and Nils Stockmann organised a workshop day on 2 May 2019 on the subject of sustainable mobility for the institution's volunteers. Together with the participants aged 18-20, the two ZIN employees devoted the first part of the day to the basic concepts and functionalities of sustainable mobility policy. In the afternoon, the participants' personal experiences and behaviours were discussed in a quiz format. The final part was a simulation game in which the participants took on the roles of various interest groups on the topic of "Car-free Münster" and took a closer look at the challenges and opportunities of such a concrete measure.
Overall, the Education Day offered an exciting opportunity to present the research priorities of the research group DynaMo, in which Feldhoff and Stockmann, together with colleagues from Münster and Stuttgart, analyse questions of urban mobility transformations in a transdisciplinary manner and to communicate them in an open and interested forum. The organisers would therefore like to thank the Bennohaus for the invitation and the participants for their dedicated cooperation!
