The link must be publicly accessible and remain available until the admission process has been completed. Please ensure that you record each piece in a single take without cuts or editing. Cuts between individual pieces are permitted. Concert or competition recordings are not accepted. Make sure you are clearly visible throughout the entire recording. The following requirements apply:

    • The recording, which should be 10 to a maximum of 15 minutes long, must include at least two works of different character from different stylistic periods. You may record complete works or individual movements. Piano accompaniment is optional.

    3. Entrance Examination

If you pass the Digital Pre-Selection round, you will receive an invitation to the Entrance Examination via the Information Portal. The portal will provide the date, time, and room for each examination you are required to take. All examinations take place at the University of Music Münster.

Please note that all required examination components must be completed. Failure to complete one or more of the Live Entrance Auditions and examinations will result in exclusion from the application process.

    3.1 Major Subject

You must prepare all works (included in the programme you uploaded with your application) in their entirety. During the Live Entrance Audition in the Major Subject, you will be required to perform approximately 10 to 15 minutes of this programme. The examination committee will select the works to be performed. The following guidelines apply:

    • A performance of three works or individual movements of varying character from different stylistic periods, one of which must be from after 1960; for example, J.-B. Singelée—1er Solo de Concert, Paul Bonneau—Suite, Ryo Noda—Improvisations. A compelling musical interpretation is more important than the level of difficulty of the selected pieces.

There is no exam for the Subsidiary Subject.

    3.2 Theory

In addition to the Major Subjects Audition, the Entrance Examination also includes examinations in Aural Training and General Music Theory. Below you will find information on the examination content as well as sample exams to help you prepare:
