

Prof. Dr. Nosheen Fatima Warraich is a Professor at the Institute of Information Management (IIM), University of the Punjab in Lahore, Pakistan. She earned her Ph.D. from the same university in 2011 and completed her Postdoctoral Research as a Fulbright Scholar at the University at Albany, State University of New York (SUNY), USA. She served as Director of IIM (2021–2024) and is currently the Director of the Women’s Development Centre, University of the Punjab.
Nosheen Warraich is an Honorary Professor at the University of Malaya (2024–2026). With a record of over 150 publications in internationally refereed journals, conference proceedings, and book chapters, Stanford University rankings place her among the top researchers globally in the field of Library and Information Science. She serves as Editor of the Pakistan Journal of Information Management & Libraries, Associate Editor of Heliyon, and Editorial Board Member of Libri, Public Library Quarterly, and the Malaysian Journal of Library and Information Science.
Warraich plays an active leadership role in Association for Information Science and Technology (ASIS&T). She currently serves as Chair of ASIS&T SIG-III and Past Chair of SIG-InfoLearn (2024–2025) and received the ASIS&T New Leader Award (2017–2018) as well as the James M. Cretsos Leadership Award (2023). Her research and engagement continue to advance the fields of information management, human information behaviour, and AI applications in knowledge systems.
