

Prof. Dr. Nosheen Fatima Warraich is a Professor at the Institute of Information Management (IIM), University of the Punjab, Pakistan. She earned her Ph.D. from the same university in 2011 and completed postdoctoral research as a Fulbright Scholar at the University at Albany, State University of New York (SUNY), USA. After serving as Director of the Institute of Information Management 2021–2024, she is currently the Director of the Women’s Development Centre at the University of the Punjab.
Additionally, Warraich is a visiting professor at the University of Malaya (2024–2026) and serves as editor of the Pakistan Journal of Information Management & Libraries, associate editor of Heliyon, and editorial board member of Libri, Public Library Quarterly, and the Malaysian Journal of Library and Information Science. In the Association for Information Science and Technology (ASIS&T) she currently serves as chair of the Special Interest Group for International Information Issues (SIG-III) after having chaired the special interes group SIG Information & Learning Sciences (SIG InfoLearn) from 2024–2025. Her leadership within the association has been recognized with the New Leader Award (2017–2018) and the James M. Cretsos Leadership Award (2023).
Her research primarily focusses on issues of information management, human information behaviour, and AI applications in knowledge systems.
