JupyterHub.nrw

Would you like to learn about JupyterHub.nrw and discover how it can be used in teaching and research? Then we cordially invite you to the JupyterHub.nrw Day on November 24, 2026, in Münster. Following a live demo, we’ll offer parallel sessions: one for beginners with no prior experience to try it out, and another for experienced users to discuss technical and pedagogical questions. Service: JupyterHub.nrw is a virtual working environment for interactive data analysis and visualization. Users can use the relevant software via their web browser, i.e. without local installation or large computing resources, and work with Jupyter notebooks. Two configurations are currently available: "eScience" with a focus on data analysis (e.g. RStudio, Mathematica, Voreen, Matlab, IDE) and "Development" with a focus on programming (e.g. C++, Rust). Department-specific working environments are planned. Fields of application include in particular the areas of data science, digital humanities, machine learning and software development.
