FAQ E-Exam Room Aula Vom-Stein-Haus
Date 26.09.2024
What does the e-exam room in the Vom-Stein-Haus auditorium offer?
There are 132 computer workstations available for electronic examinations in the Vom-Stein-Haus auditorium. The workstations are equipped with laptops that enable access to the centrally provided examination services. The room is a central resource for e-exams at the University of Münster.
How can I use the room?
The auditorium of the Vom-Stein-Haus is available for electronic exams all year round. It can be used if you want to conduct your electronic examinations with one of the centrally offered examination services L-Plus or Examweb. Other examination systems are currently not supported. Please contact ZHLdigital for advice on a suitable examination system.
The room is not available for courses and other examinations.
What are the requirements and rules for booking?
The room can only be booked through your examination service provider (L-Plus or Examweb) at the CIT. Please contact them with your booking request as part of the appointment clarification process.
In order to utilise the room optimally and make it available to as many users as possible, specific exam information and exam dates are required. Block bookings without allocation to an exam and bookings at very short notice (less than 2 weeks in advance) are not possible, as exam support must be planned.
In addition, the contact details of the exam organisers are required for queries, the number of participants and other information.
The publicly available room calendar can be used for exam planning. All existing bookings can be viewed here. Booking requests are processed in the order in which they are received.
The room can be booked one semester in advance, i.e. from the beginning of the respective winter semester (1 October) until the end of the following summer semester (30 September) and from the beginning of the respective summer semester (1 April) until the end of the following winter semester (31 March). Bookings that extend beyond this period are not possible.
If the room needs to be booked for other purposes such as cleaning, maintenance and remodelling work, please send an email to epruefungscenter@uni-muenster.de .
What do I have to do if an exam date is postponed or cancelled?
To postpone or cancel e-examination dates, please contact your examination service provider. They will remove the date from the examination calendar or enter another date.
What happens to the examination dates already confirmed in HIS-LSF?
During the test operation from 1 October 2024 to 31 March 2024, the room calendar will still be visible in HIS-LSF. Booking requests via HIS-LSF are still technically possible, but will be rejected with a reference to the changed booking procedure. From the summer semester 2025, you will only be able to find out about available dates via the publicly available calendar.
Existing room bookings that were created via HIS-LSF have already been transferred to the new calendar. All bookings for which information is still missing or unclear have been labelled "In clarification". We will successively process these bookings by contacting those responsible for the bookings and asking for the missing information.
What on-site service is offered by the CIT?
Our aim is to support every electronic exam that takes place in this room with on-site support and to minimise disruptions caused by technical failures. In test mode, we only provide this support by prior arrangement. At the start of the exam, a CIT employee will meet you in the exam room, if agreed in advance, and support you in instructing the students until the exam starts successfully.
Who can I contact in the event of technical faults during the exam?
During the exam, you can report technical faults to the team of supervisors by telephone. The supervisors will then help you to solve technical problems. In addition, serious technical failures can be forwarded to the relevant facilities and rectified as quickly as possible.
Are places available in the examination room for students with chronic illnesses and disabilities?
There is a workstation available for students in wheelchairs. Unfortunately, it is not possible to set up an inclusion area in the auditorium of the Vom-Stein-Haus for the individual needs of students with chronic illnesses and disabilities. If you have students with special requirements or disadvantage compensation in your examination groups, we ask you to implement individual solutions for these examinations in your department.
