Explore Münster

Münster is the bicycle capital of Germany and you can rent a bike and explore the city. The Promenade is a bike path which encircles the city center and is a convenient way to get around the city.

  •  Aasee:  The Jugendherberge is located on the Aasee, a big lake which forms Münster's most central local recreation area.  It offers a whole range of interesting leisure activities - from a walk to a sailing trip to a visit to the Allwetter zoo.
  • City Center:  Main sights in the city center include the Münster Cathedral (St. Paul's Dom), Prinzipalmarkt - the main shopping street, and St. Lambert's Church. The hostel is only a 15-minute walk from the Domplatz.
  • Schloss:  Right next to the Botanicum is the botanical garden and the Münster castle, which houses the administrative offices of the university.
