Origen turns in his writing "On Prayer" against gnostic tendency which estimated praying as useless and reprehensible. Taking into account the philosophical framework of his audience, Origen connects the philosophical truth claim with divine revelation to a Christian theory of praying. Finally, he interpretes the "Our Father" as the concisest type of proclaiming.
