We will be interested in the analysis of a system of PDEs modeling continuously stratified fluids under the influence of gravity. The system is obtained by a linearization of the equations of incompressible non-homogeneous fluids around a background density profile that increases with depth (spectrally stable density profile). I will present some mathematical problems related to well/ill-posedness, stability and long-time dynamics.
