A 10-day numismatics course on the religious significance of coins and medals took place in Rome in November 2024. Organised by the Koninklijk Nederlands Instituut in Rome (KNIR), the Dutch National Research School in Classics (OIKOS) and the German Archaeological Institute (DAI), 18 Master's and PhD students from the Netherlands, Germany, and Austria took part. The course offered participants insights into Roman and early modern numismatics. The students also designed a numismatic exhibition in the Biblioteca Casanatense, which was open to the public until 14 March 2025. The theme of the exhibition was the religious significance of Roman coins and papal medals from various perspectives.
