Conference: Novel formulation strategies for poorly water-soluble drugs. 09.-11.02.2026
© D. Steiner / Universität Münster

Dear Colleagues, Scientists and Friends!

The formulation of poorly water-soluble drugs is a constant challenge, particularly because most newly discovered drug candidates show these physical properties and poor bioavailability. This conference focuses on various formulation strategies for these challenging pharmaceutical substances. We cordially invite you to attend this conference to learn about the latest research findings in this field in a variety of oral and poster presentations and to participate in scientific discussions.

The conference aims to give young scientists in particular the opportunity to present their work in an oral or poster presentation at an international conference. A panel discussion on Monday evening will also give PhD students an insight into various career opportunities after completing their doctorates. Here you will have the opportunity to ask questions to members of the PETRS (Pharmaceutical Engineering and Technology Scientists) network who are currently working at universities or industry and who will tell you about their experiences to date. In addition, at the end of the conference (Wednesday afternoon), an optional workshop will be offered that will provide a closer and practical insight into the preparation of various nanoparticulate formulations using two types of dual centrifuges.

We are delighted to be organizing this conference as part of the “Galenus Workshop” series of events, which is kindly supported by the Galenus Foundation (Vienna).

We look forward to welcoming you in Münster!

Prof. Dr. Denise Steiner
