Research Assistant (E 13 TV-L)
The Business Chemistry Group at the University of Münster is seeking to fill a research assistant position (E13 TV-L) with 65% of the regular weekly working hours as soon as possible. The position is initially limited to 3 years, but can be extended in the context of a doctorate. The full-time teaching commitment is 4 SWS.
About our Institute:
We combine expertise in chemistry, management and technology to address ecological and economic challenges in the chemical industry and related sectors. We conduct interdisciplinary research in four related fields: 1) Innovation and Technology Management, 2) Electrochemical Energy Storage Technology, 3) Sustainability and Circular Economy, 4) Business Models. Our study programmes include the interdisciplinary Master's degree course in Business Chemistry.
Your tasks:
Your main tasks will involve research and project work, particularly in the areas of data management, data analysis, and modeling of electrochemical energy storage systems as well as their business management and sustainable operation. This includes market analyses, life cycle assessments, and technology evaluations for storage technologies such as lithium-ion and sodium-ion batteries.
In addition, you will explore business fields and production technologies related to the manufacturing of components required for these storage technologies, maintaining a holistic perspective on the entire value chain.
Furthermore, you will support our team in teaching through seminars and exercises and in the supervision of seminar papers and master’s theses. Active participation in chair activities is expected. The position is linked to the pursuit of a doctoral degree.
Our expectations:
You have successfully completed a Master’s degree in Business Chemistry or Chemistry. Beneficial are specializations in the fields of electrochemical energy storage technologies, business models, and associated production technologies, as well as, ideally, an empirical thesis or comparable work in this area. Good command of English and proficiency in common software applications are required.
