CAPES/DAAD – PROBRAL

The PROBRAL programme has launched a new call on the 01 April 2026. The programme is a cooperation between the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Brazilian Federal Agency for Support and Evaluation of Graduate Education (CAPES).

The application deadline is the 28. May 2026 (5pm BRT/ 10pm CET).

The programme promotes the mobility and short-term research stays of university members of participating partner institutions. It aims to strengthen binational research activities and collaboration between Brazilian and German higher education and research institutions, with a special focus on the qualification of early-career researchers.

The programme is open to all disciplines. At DAAD and for researchers based in Germany, PROBRAL is part of the so-called PPP programme of Project-Related Personal Exchange. At CAPES and for researchers based in Brazil, it can be found under this link.
