Postdoc in Germany information events in Fortaleza and Recife

In October 2025, the consortium of German universities will hold two editions of the Postdoc in Germany workshop in Brazil’s Northeast: in Fortaleza (21/10) and Recife (23/10). Organised by the German Centre for Research and Innovation (DWIH) São Paulo and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), the events target early-career researchers who are in the final years of their PhD or who completed their doctorate no more than four years ago and wish to conduct research in Germany. Participation is free of charge, with prior registration required by 10 October.

The programme includes talks on funding opportunities, followed by pitches (short presentations) by the participating institutions. At the end, representatives will be available for one-to-one consultations.

The University of Münster (UM) will be represented by the director of the Liaison Office of the Brazil Centre, Cíntia Toth Gonçalves, who will share valuable insights on funding and research opportunities in Münster both during the pitch and in the one-to-one consultation session.

In addition to the University of Münster (UM), the participating institutions in this edition are University Alliance Ruhr, the German Research Foundation (DFG), the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (AvH), Freie Universität Berlin (FU Berlin), and the Technical University of Munich (TUM).
