CNPq - DFG Call for Proposals in Agricultural Sciences, Forestry and Veterinary Medicine

The Brazilian National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq) and the German Research Foundation (DFG) announced a joint call for proposals to select up to 10 basic research projects from German research institutions in collaboration with Brazilian ones. Interdisciplinary projects that incorporate social sciences and humanities are encouraged, provided they maintain a focus on agricultural, forestry or veterinary medicine.

Researchers based in Germany should submit their proposals to the DFG, while researchers based in Brazil must submit theirs to CNPq, adhering to the respective guidelines and submission systems. The funding is for projects of up to 3 years and proposals should be submitted in English.

The deadline for proposal submission is 15th of December 2025.
