Campus Earth 2022: Brazil Centre organises World Café with SABio and ZIN on Energy Transition

© SABio

As part of WWU’s Sustainability Day "Campus Earth 2022", the SABio research group ("South American Bioeconomies") is organising the World Café on 20.10.22 (2-4pm) together with ZIN (Centre for Sustainability Research) and the Brazil Centre on the topic "Energy transition from another view: Perspectives from South America".

The World Café will reveal international relations linked to the energy transition and discuss its relevance for issues such as justice, food sovereignty or resource dependency. The energy transition in industrialised countries has a variety of social, ecological and economic impacts on countries in other regions of the world, e.g. because the necessary raw materials for renewable energies are extracted there.

The talks of the SABio research group from South America will provide the stimulus for a thought-provoking discussion with different perspectives and in different languages. The organisers will be happy to assist with the communication in German, English, Spanish or Portuguese.
