What to say about the campus life and São Paulo?
The multicultural city São Paulo, with over 12 million inhabitants, is the largest in Brazil and the financial centre of the country. The various districts of the city offer unlimited opportunities to experience the hectic city life and culture of Brazil. There are numerous sights, restaurants, nightclubs and bars with live music to discover. If you want to relax, you can unwind on the large, green university campus or in one of parks of the city.
While the university day-to-day life, consisting of working in the laboratory, having lunch in the canteen, doing sports and meeting up with friends in the evening, is comparable to the one in Germany, you will rarely meet other students outside the university. The USP also offers an enormous range of sports facilities, so there is something to do for everyone.
Until now, the participants of the SãMBio have always lived in the immediate vicinity of the university campus, so that the institute could always be reached easily by foot.
