Netiquette for the University of Münster's Social Media Channels

  • Comments must relate to the respective post.
  • Comments must be factual. Unfounded or offensive comments will be deleted.
  • If you wish to dispute one or more statements in the respective post, you must justify your opinion.
  • Comments that publish personal or sensitive data, such as addresses or phone numbers, will be deleted.
  • Any form of discrimination or defamation of individuals or groups based on their origin, religious affiliation, physical condition, sexual identity, gender, or age will not be accepted.
  • All offensive, inciting, pornographic, inflammatory, youth-endangering, or criminal expressions will also be deleted.
  • If external websites are linked, we reserve the right to review them and delete the comment if the content of the page contradicts our netiquette.
  • We reserve the right to delete posts containing commercial messages, election propaganda for parties/groups, calls for demonstrations, campaigns, or petitions.
  • Comments containing unverifiable theories or allegations will also be deleted.
  • Comments that are automatically generated (e.g., by bots) or part of a campaign will be removed.
  • In the case of repeated violations of this netiquette, the University of Münster's social media editorial team reserves the right to permanently block user profiles.
