Future Lab

The Future Lab - Strategic impulses for the University of Münster

The university thrives on the diversity of its perspectives. The Future Lab brings together people from academia, administration and university management to work together on key strategic challenges. New ideas, concepts and projects with university-wide appeal are developed here in an open and participatory framework.

As an agile support department of the Rectorate, we initiate and manage strategically important projects of university-wide relevance. We focus on participatory proccesses, interdisciplinary perspectives and evidence-based decision-making.

Our Services

  • Strategic project development: Design and implementation of major university projects in close coordination with the Rectorate and central administration
  • Strategic research funding: Supporting researchers in applying for and realising projects within the framework of strategic funding lines
  • Networking formats: Organisation of exchange and dialogue formats to promote interdisciplinary collaboration, in particular with the Profile Areas and Emerging Fields

Our team

The Future Lab team combines expertise from various disciplines and areas of university administration. We work methodically, utilise agile project management approaches and are guided by best practices in science management.
