From May 14 to 16, 2026, the Departments of Education and Culture in Sport and Physical Education and Teaching in Sport participated in the 39th Annual Conference of the dvs Section Sport Pedagogy in Frankfurt am Main. The conference was held under the theme “Educational Biographies in Sport – Actors in Dialogue.”
During the conference, numerous working groups, symposia, and the poster session were attended. Thematically, the conference focused in particular on educational biographies in sport, youth elite sport, and teaching and learning processes in schools, sports clubs, and other institutional contexts. The program also included three keynote lectures by Malte Brinkmann, Tina Nobis, and Stefan Meier.
In addition to the academic exchange, the conference offered numerous opportunities for networking with colleagues from sport pedagogy, sport science, and related disciplines. The event was organized by the Deutsche Vereinigung für Sportwissenschaft in cooperation with the Goethe University Frankfurt and the Philipps University Marburg.
