As of summer 2011, all rooms (German 'Raum') at the Department of Psychology now have a simple one-, two- or three-digit number. The first digit refers to the floor in which the room may be found and the last two for the room number itself. Raum 140, for example, is located on 1st floor. In all, there are 5 floors, including the basement. For rooms located in the ground floor, such as Raum 69a, the first digit is left off so that only the room number is given. Rooms in the basement start with the letter K or begin with a 0 (either K 25 or 025), whereas rooms in the pavillions behind the main building start with the letter P (e.g., P 24).
Smoking is prohibited in the entire building, including the cafeteria .
