DC-train: Electromagnetic imaging using fields emitted by railway lines

Principal Investigator: Prof. Dr. Michael Becken
Research Associate: Dr. Anna Avdeeva
Funding: Shell Global Solutions, Rijswijk
Period: 01/02/2014-30/04/2016
Project partner: Dr. Rita Streich, Shell Global Solutions

Objectives:

(i) development of an approximate railway electromagnetic source model based on synthetic model studies and field data (ii) adaption of time series processing schemes to the specific characteristics of train sources (iii) acquisition, processing and modelling of field data near a railway line in a selected test area.
