Quantum cryptography exploits the fundamental principles of quantum mechanics to enable communication tasks with security based on physical laws rather than computational assumptions. Future quantum networks raise new questions concerning multipartite communication, hierarchical access structures, and higher-dimensional quantum systems.

Our research in this area is supported through the BMFTR-funded Quantum Futur project Q-SCALAR, where we investigate new cryptographic protocols for quantum networks based on multipartite entanglement, graph states, and higher-dimensional quantum systems.
