Research Topics

Transverse mode-locked light fields

My research area is transversally mode-locked laser beams that "wobble" in space. In particular, I am investigating new ways of generating such light fields. I have already investigated temporal dynamics in light fields during my Bachelor's thesis project and spatial dynamics in my Master's thesis. In the special TML laser beams, spatial and temporal dynamics are inextricably linked, which leads to fascinating spatiotemporal dynamics.
