Research Topics

Light Conversion in Waveguides

I work on the topic of nonlinear waveguides, where I'm researching frequency conversion, that is, the conversion of monochromatic light into light of another color. And that in a volume of just about 5000 µm³. I'm fascinated by the fact that you can convert invisible infrared light into visible light. Time and time again, when I see a waveguide light up for the first time, I stop and admire the beauty of nonlinear optics.
